Director

Nick Collins BSc (Hons) MSc MRICS IHBC has thirty years’ experience in the property sector. Nick has worked with KMHeritage for nine years and was previously a Project Director in the Conservation Team at integrated design consultancy Alan Baxter Associates. He spent nine years at Historic England where he was a Principal Inspector of Historic Buildings and Areas, leading a specialist team of inspectors, architects and archaeologists on heritage projects across London. Previously Conservation Officer at the London Borough of Bromley, he began his professional career at international real estate consultancy JLL as a Chartered Surveyor.

 

Through this body of experience, Nick has developed an in-depth understanding of the property industry, listed building and planning processes, heritage policy and guidance and funding bodies, as well as a related network of contacts across these fields.

Nick is a member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He is an external examiner for the Oxford Brookes’ Masters in Historic Conservation and sits on the Council of the Cornish Buildings Group. He previously sat on the Southwark Diocesan Advisory Committee and has been a trustee of the Twentieth Century Society and the Heritage of London Trust.
